Some people think improv is about being funny.

They're wrong!

Improv is about paying attention. It's about trusting yourself before you have all the answers. It's about listening instead of waiting for your turn to talk. It's about discovering that confidence isn't something you're born with. It's something you practice.

That's why I started DeKalb County Comedy.

After years of training and performing in Chicago, I realized these skills shouldn't be limited to people who dream of standing on a stage. They belong to anyone who wants to communicate better, think faster, become more confident, or simply stop overthinking every conversation.

This isn't about becoming a comedian.

It's about becoming someone who's more comfortable being yourself.

If you leave my class laughing harder, listening better, and taking yourself just a little less seriously...

Then we've done something worthwhile.
